SETTING
The chic and sophisticated restaurant and wine bar offers four floors of fun. The first has a bar with a well-stocked shelf of liquor and wine cellar. The second features the dining and lounge areas with a DJ deck. On the third and fourth are private rooms, the topmost with
reclining loungers and a glass rooftop.
FOOD
People who enjoy fine food and wine will appreciate Bacchus, which exudes an ambience that is both relaxing and intimate. The food is
described as Italian and French, but there are innovative Japanese elements infused into the dishes. For instance, listed are items including Tokyo onion curry, pan-fried foie gras with eggplant in Japanese miso and balsamic sauce, and grilled pork fillet with umeboshi (Japanese apricot) sour sauce. The menu features tapas and appetisers, along with meat, seafood, pastas, risotto, salads and desserts. Tapas of fresh tuna and avocado with soy and mayonnaise sauce is a delicious starter, with raw tuna bought fresh every day. Garden-fresh vegetable salad with parma ham arrives with a generous portion of the tasty ham. For seafood, fresh Andaman tuna steak with
tartare and curry oil is delicious. Round off the meal with desserts of home-made pana cotta and pudding with vanilla sauce.
WINES
The well-stocked wine cellar carries over 200 types of wine from new and old worlds.
SERVICE
With many floors, sometimes staff may not be in sight. But when there they are attentive.
PRICE
The tab for a three-course meal for two people is about 1,600 baht, without wine.
