SETTING
Elegant colonial-style interior of white walls with silver tableware and subtle gold adornments. Popular with both hotel guests and locals who enjoy Chinese food.
FOOD
Known for its dim sum, Evergarden is as popular as ever for weekend lunches. There have been times when customers have to book not
only tables in advance but also the dim sum orders. A large portion of the menu is traditional Cantonese. A definite must-try is steamed snow fish in soysauce garnished with shredded spring onions; the fish is cooked to perfection. Peking duck here is a long-time favourite and is highly recommended. For a super special treat, monk jumps over the wall is as exotic as it sounds, even though it is by no means inexpensive. All stir-fried dishes are very well-prepared. For a fan
of noodles, rice noodle in seafood sauce is a mild dish that is a firm favourite of children. Finish with a nice Chinese dessert or plate of fruit.
WINES
An extensive collection of wines from France, Italy and the US is on offer both by the glass and the bottle. Prices range from 3,000 to
14,000 baht per bottle.
SERVICE
Capable attention ensures your dining experience goes smoothly. Evergarden however holds a strict no-service policy after its indicated
opening hours. Do not be surprised if you find yourself lunching without air-conditioning after 2:30pm.
PRICE
A full-on dim sum lunch for a couple comes to about 2,000 baht. A good dinner can be had for about 3,000 baht for two, without drinks.
