SETTING
The elevator opens to a modern, light, boutique-style restaurant with wooden tables and chairs, plus some bright paintings and wood panelling on the walls. Outdoor dining is set on a wooden deck amid tropical foliage.
FOOD
This newly opened, modest-looking gem of a restaurant holds very imaginative, dazzling dishes. Meals are crafted to introduce novelty and juxtapose flavours, while generously providing satisfying, healthy fare. Excellence begins with Ici special salad which arrays fried camembert cheese atop chopped mango, alongside scooped-out baked potato skins cradling two different melted cheeses, plus spinach dumplings, tomatoes and spices on toast. Arugula salad with blackened tuna is a sensational plate of cubes of seared fish on rocket, pine nuts, cashews and a vinegar dressing. Som tam spring roll fills fresh rolls with papaya salad plus broiled shrimp. Tender pork stroganoff with fresh linguine wonderfully stews meat in a piquant
mushroom sauce infused with a smoky taste. Steamed salmon and white snapper net is named for the way it weaves pink strips of salmon with white strips of snapper on a tasty spinach mousse. Pasta, red and white meats, and other seafood also promise paradise.
WINES
The wine list is as extensive as the menu, and though French-heavy, it also tours other wineproducing countries.
SERVICE
Unobtrusive, quiet, seemingly innocent but extremely capable staff displays the way good service should be rendered.
