SETTING
An elegant restaurant within walking distance of the Night Bazaar, Piccola Roma’s interior of gleaming dark wood and mirrors makes for a sophisticated dining experience.
FOOD
For 15 years chef Angelo Faro has created a generous menu which encompasses all of the traditional Italian favourites with highlight
signature dishes giving the menu a bit of flair. Scallops flambee with port is absolutely delightful as is caprese crostone, which comes on a crisp piece of bread. A shared starter of specially selected wild boar mountain sausage and hunter sausage is as exotic, rich and filling as it sounds. Home-made pasta dishes are highly recommended with a wide range of pastas and sauces on offer from linguine and cannelloni to ravioli and tortellini. Once again, the freshness of ingredients is what makes this restaurant stand out from among the dozens of Italian establishments in town. A comprehensive seafood and meat
selection including grilled rock lobster, grilled tuna chef’s specialty and steaks rounds up a menu that covers all the bases.
WINES
A solid wine list obviously chosen by someone who knows what he is doing. Fine Italian wines with prices from medium to high.
SERVICE
Chef Angelo elevates the level of service from mediocre to personal. He explains the menu and makes recommendations and when the dishes arrive, he personally takes care of the seasoning at the table.
PRICE
A very good and generous meal can be had for less than 2,000 baht for two persons.
